Newbie 04 ralliart

ok i just bought my 04 RA like 2 weeks ago and now ready to mod it. The thing is i would like to know what would be a good idea to start and if u could give me name brand stuff. I already looked at rocks stuff i like his parts a lot. I’m thinking intake and i was thinking about getting a engine damper kit but i really don’t want the inside of my car making noise.

Thanks Nick

before you get the dampener get the pulley from RRM and i dont know which dampener you were thinking of but im told that motor mounts make alot more noise then the dampeners. try the ralliart classifieds somones selling some that got great reviews.

good luck with the car!

Well, if you want an engine damper you should go with this one.

http://www.zakleecorp.com/ralliart.htm

This is the one that I have on my car and it works great! You can't even tell that it's on there when the car is at idle so you don't have to worry about any extra noises or vibrations. It also looks nice with the powder coated finish on it. Other than that, you should go with an intake, pulley, and exhaust for starter mods.

You'll probably see close to the same gains with any intake you go with. I went with Injen because I have an auto and they are the only ones to make a CAI for the auto. Plus, it gives me the option to switch it to a short ram if I want. For the pulley, there is plenty of stuff out there on it and it works great for me. For exhaust, I went with the RPW header/down pipe with a high flow cat combo. I'll have dyno results of the header in the next few weeks. Then I have a Volt custom cat back with an 18" resonator. That should be a good start for you.

light dim isnt too much and the second you start moving it picks up. if it really bothers you ive heard that grounding kits help compensate.

The dimming is only at like under 1,000 rpms so when you're driving along they're bright as always. The torque is worth the little dimming.
