I dont think you can put the AEM bypass in the RRM CAI since it's a one piece

it rains a LOT her in PR and ive never had hydrolock. Roads are done poorly and water just stays there and ive had to go through a couple of deep puddles , but nothing has happened. But if you're worried about it just get a bypass.

pretty much no matter what intake you get you have to cut it to put the bypass valve in. There are requirements that are outlined in the instructions that come with it that will explain why, how, and where to put it.

no you can't

just buy the AEM intake and then just buy the bypass valve for it.

AEM has better performance then RRM's. You get more gains from AEM as I am deffiantly getting the AEM CAI w/ bypass valve for rain.

you can put an aem bypass in any cold air intake you see how long the bypass is, cut out what you don't need out of the pipe then use two couplings on each side of the bypass might take an hour tops make sure you remove all the shavings .even the aem intake you will have to cut the pipe .

bypass is only good when your intake is inside the water...

I have a RRM CAI and it's awesome... don't spend 60-70$ for the bypass, for sure AEM will tell you that you need it, but guess what THEY sell it !!!!

your choice, but I use to have a CAI during winter here in Quebec so fudge off about hydrolock

It can be installed on an Injen intake without cutting. However, for the same reason Injen intakes break (no allowance for flex), the bypass will eventually break.

I wouldn't worry about it breaking, I've had mine on for at least 25,000kms daily driving. Plus I've taken it to the track and I have no issues at all.

The ones that break, and quite a few of them have, do so at the lower mount on the CAI extension, it pretty much tears out where it meets the piping. I had an AEM bypass on mine for quite awhile, but the lack of flex in Injen's intake eventually tore it in half.
