BOV and wastegate?

BOV and wastegate?

If I get a bov do I still need a wastegate?

Essentially a wastegate prevents the turbo from building more boost when it's open. The blow-off valve or diverter valve relieves the pressure that's already been built

Yes, you need both

lolz. you my friend have some reading to do on the turbocharged engine. I was the same way whenever I crossed over from V8s to turbo cars.

If you have a turbo diesel you won't need a BOV, throttle body, spark plugs, or coil packs. ::mindblown::
