bye bye downpipe

Hi guys!!

I have a kind of stupid question but i need to verify, In so many cases if you open all the pipe lines the benefit is in high rpm´s but can some one tell me if in the ralliart is the same case? Cos' I like autoX contest, as you know the track is in first gear, well at least here in my city, so you think getting rid of the downpipe will be benefit for autoXing or will my time be less??

Regards!

I would think with no downpipe at all you would lose alot of low end torque...

Plus, it would put you in a different class because you took out your stock cat.

the downpipe/header is the life of a RA's acceleration. It also makes it so that you dont spin tires due to the sudden tq. Makes the power rise nice and smooth

ok, th downpipe will stay there!
Thanks!!!

but kreepa, about the spin tires, I have that problem, the tires spin a lot before the car launches I don´t know if I´m stepping to hard or what?? I have bfgoodrich kdw-2 tires on, they are stick as hell, but the launch in the car is horrible, it spins a lot in the place like 2 seconds, my launches are at 2500 rpms aprox.

Clutch slip if you are crossing, launching shouldnt be a priority. Just try to get out as fast as posible without spinning much. You can do it by slipping the clutch. Works for me all the time just dont over do it or you will cook your clutch. A regular launch with half a sec of slip works, but you want to slip it as less as posible
