hondata and k pro for MIVEC

I dont know if this could work but, What if a company comes out with a similar product to hondata or k-pro but for the MIVEC enigne since I-VTEC and MIVEC are pretty much the same thing. Here is hondatas web site for you to look into Hondata - Honda ECU Modification and Enhancement. check out there heatshiled too!!!

its would be the best thing. it would do so much more then a piggy. but i dont think it does as much as a greddy E-MANAGE. you could control the ponit when MIVEC kicks in, or atleast you can control the VTEC on hondata and k-pro.

I-Vtec and Mivec(4G69) are not the same, not really even close.

Hondata is a re-flash, no one has yet been able to flash a RA ECU.

Last I heard Works was going to try this and they never did obviously.

BUT k-pro is a engine management program for use with laptop. MIVEC and VTEC are kinda the same. multi veriable vavle timing systems that both kick in hardcore when hard accleration and kicks in at 3500 to 4500 rpms. right?

Since I don't know much about K-PRO (it was after I had my RSX).

A post with detailed info into MIVEC. I decided not to type it all out

I had a civic si not even a month ago and one of the mod was my K-pro with the heatshield

you have two thing from hondata as far as ECU programs:

1) reflash - Tune to work I/H/E very generic but it works. increased the rev limiter to 7800 RPMS

2) K-Pro - modified ECU with a USB interface by which you can tune the cars maps for A/F, timming, and Cam angles. In addition you can change your launch control, rev limiter and many other ECU controlled parameters.

In the K-series engines Kpro is a huge improvement. The tunes are pretty agressive. My car felt like a total different car whenever i loaded my "weekend" tune than when I had my "economy DD" tune.

In my oppinon the best 1200 buck i spend on any car. (besides suspension)

I was just going to ask however if there was anything like that for the 4G63

There are plenty of Evo IX's with reflases around here. Also Al (DynoFlash) was tinkering with the Ralliart ECU and posted no so long ago that he could do custom reflashes to it.

I believe AL thought the OZ/ES lancer ECU was the same as the RA but it's not. I figured it wouldn't take long for them to flash the evoIX.

Adam please read about HONDATA and then talk, because HONDATA is not a Reflash, they have reflash for some cars, with hondata you can tune the heck out of your car, from RED LINE, vtec activation, fuel maps, timing maps, 2step, nos options, boost options, etc etc .
Also you can tune it when ever you want,

I dont really know too much about reflashes but i think you cant change the reflash , i mean a reflash its not tunnable.

you can read more about hondata in: http://www.hondata.com/aboutus.html

EGK69 when we are only talking about "hondata" I consider it to be a reflash. In which you can modify the ECU to quote you RED LINE, vtec activation, fuel maps, timing maps, 2step, nos options, boost options, etc etc Those are all ECU related. K-100 will allow you to tune and modify. A lot has changed since 02 when I had my RSX though. Either way you are reflashing this to the ECU.

Man i wish i could control the MIVEC activation, maybe hondata will come out with MIVECdata ahhahahhaa, or mitsudata even better. K-pro is made only for the K20 series engines (K20A1, K20A2, K20A3) found in RSX type-s, RSX type-R and civic si EP3. now since MIVEC is some what new and nowhere near as popular as VTEC- or I-VTEC, i am sure sooner or later down the road a company will come up with a ECU program or maybe even a new ECU and Wireing harrness just like K-pro comes with.

I don't see a reason to control MIVEC since It's already placed at a good RPM. Still I would like to see someone crack the ECU so we could reflash, just think no need for a AFC.
