The synchro shift 2. is that better then the Royal Purple? B/C I read on the back of Royal purple that the regualar tranny fluid they offer, has a friction modifier in it, yet we don't have an LSD, so, just wondering if that plays havoc on our trannys as far as cold weather etc.... thanks

The damper is not as extreme a solution as the motor mounts, but some on here seem happy with it.
A company called Speed Source makes brass shifter bushings that many of us use....you can get this from Lancershop.com along with a short shifter kit. The RA shares the same shifter and linkage with the Evo 8 if you didn't already know.
Listen to Otter and Mys regarding tranny fluid.
Personally I just have the OE fluid in the tranny, and the brass shifter bushings (shifter base and underhood) with a short shift kit (Authority brand). Works really well for me.

Just wondering. Sorry still learning when it comes to tranny's. Thanks.

Actually the only gear that's smooth for me almost all the time is 4th. Sometimes I get a little worried about shifting fast into second, just because it "feels" kinda bad. I realize that would be happening even if the shifter had no feedback, but I guess I don't know how fast I can shift and still not mess up the transmission.
Mine feels the same. I just gor an 04 RalliArt and compared to my ex- 05 Lancer ES it is not realy easy. But the engine and the suspension are amazing.
Do u think that GM sychroshift will reflect on the feedback or it will just help the transmission last longer if u push it harder.

Stick with the Kartboy shifter bushings. The brass ones will rust and bind up and be a PITA to remove. Furthermore some give is needed here.
Engine mounts make things more stiffer which will give you more reliable shifting. Anyone who thinks this is off subject can go fly a kite.

The brass bushings only seize up if you don't slather them in anti-seize. Do that and they're fine.
Joe, I agree with you on the engine mounts, but I like to fly my kites, too. I have two of them.

ummm, clarification.....Brass does not rust, only iron bearing materials will rust. Brass will corrode, however. When untreated it gradually becomes tarnished by oxidation. Especially when exposed to the elements it oxidizes quickly.
Like Mys says....slather those brass bushings with anti-seize every now and then and they will be fine. Or get the kartboy ones like Joe said and be practically maintenance-free.

I just installed the Zaklee Under Hood Bushings (from robert5995) and the Beatrash Roll Stop Motor Mount (from Kamispeed). Both of these mods, made a nice improvment in shifting, but with more vibration in cabin. The vibration isn't that bad and actually makes you feel more intuned with the drive train. The Beatrash in a little more expensive, but gives you the option of swapping back the factory mount, since it's a complete unit. I would recommened both of these items and both of these vendors, service couldn't have been any better.
