SES Question

Quick question guys...
If I install the RRM hi-flow cat after having the DP (and SES light on for about year and a half) will it just sooner or later go off once it starts registering the cleaner air in the 2nd O2 sensor!?
Or do I have to reset the ECU?
If that's the case I need to contact RRM because I don't remember the process for setting the piggyback...

Thanks in advance guys!

Reset the ECU, or clear the code with an OBDII scan tool, but why would you need to do anything to the piggyback?

No need to reset the piggyback. Reset your ECU or clear the code as otter said, and it should stay off. There might be a short break-in period necessary for your hi-flow cat before it works well enough to make the ECU happy.

I was saying the start up for the Piggyback...
There's like some steps you have to take where you like start up...
Let sit for 5 mins.
Turn off car... Start up again
Drive around for 10 mins under 3k rpm's...

Something like that... Or is that just when the Piggyback is initially installed!?

No need. I've reset my ECU a few times to get rid of a "system too lean" code, and then driven the car normally after resetting it. No ill effects.

That just sounds like RRM's input on how to let the ECU learn. Just go through a regular learning process after you reset the ECU (idle for 10 minutes, then take a drive). There's really no "wrong" way to let your ECU relearn. It's constantly adjusting itself, so it'll figure it out.

Good enough... I'd assume you're right & RRM just wants to take extra precaution so if someone goes *** wild & blows their **** up they can say "we told you to take it easy"

Anyway thanks for the help guys!!!

You got good advice here. No need to reset the piggy but you want to reset stock ECU by disconnecting the battery. All good!
