Ralliart CAI

Hi, I just want to know the real FACTs ,REAL dynocharts,
the options are:
-RRM
-AEM
-Injen

I want to see Dynojet charts (stock vs CAI) on Manual tranny Cars

PLEASE , if your not posting a dynochart, please dont post, I dont want to see people saying that rrm, or injen or aem are the best one because i have it. AND also i dont want to see Dynocharts from manufacturer (AEM,RRM,Injen), cause every one knows they all claim theirs are the best...

OK?

So can we do this?, this will be a good topic, depending on the results this can be a sticky , so no body has to ask anymore wich one is the best one.

You're not going to get what you're looking for. Unless one car dyno'd all three on the same day, same dyno, and same temp/humidity, you're not going to get conclusive results. There really isn't going to be any major power difference between any of the CAIs you listed, just go with whichever is best built.

I'll have to agree with otter. Just go with whichever is best built.

Many users come on asking about which intake is better (if anyone can add any add them). I'll give you some tips.

RRM:
CAI and SRI claimed to have dynoed better than INJEN and AEM intakes. Decent price and nice red coating. I believe its the most popular amongst the three intakes.

INJEN:
Price is expensive for an intake, HOWEVER if $ is not a factor then this won't apply to you. Not many good reviews but thats based on what I've read. Positives though, is that it can be changed to SRI if need be during those climate changes. So you can have both CAI and SRI.

AEM:
Pretty much the same as INJEN.

Overall:
I have the RRM CAI and I am absolutely happy with it. Installation is peanuts and is well constructed. From stock build to adding a CAI I can say that there was a difference in power. Especially mid-top end. Whistle sound. Ahh, the old days. Anyways.. moving along, I could've easily sourced AEM and INJEN intakes but I settled for the best. RRM's CAI is the "best" in its category of three intakes, cheapest and best built IMO. One straight pipe, less bends hence ease of airflow. All in all, there isn't that much HUGE of differences in terms of power to go crazy about which one to choose.

I haven't seen anyone here buy one. It's just too expensive, especially when there are other options that perform great for a lot less money.

I know this may sound wrong but - "its just an INTAKE !"

If you're thinking of headers/turbo upgrade, exhaust etc, thats when you should really get to the nitty gritty.

My $1 and fifty two cents.

I owned injen's and it sounded amazing and perfermed very good. It also comes in two pieces, you can change it to sri if you want if the weather is bad, or if you want more down low power as opposed to CAI's hi end power.

on the other hand. RRM are the lancer pro's tho, they know what works and what dont work for the ralliart. INJEN is a company that makes products for any car, throw stuff together in mass production, just to make a buck. RRM specializes in lancers, so i'd imagine the RRM performs better than injen, even tho i never owned the RRM one.

BUT i LOVED the sound of the injen intake. i cant imagine any other regular CAI sound as wicked as that did. At 5500+ rpms, it was louder than my exhaust.

It's really nothing special to look at. Except for the magnaflow tip and painted calipers, it looks 100% stock from the outside. Most of the mods I've done to it you wouldn't even notice unless you are already familiar with a RA. Old pictures. Might do new ones this year after I put in the mini battery and lower the car.

I've had both rrm CAI and Injen and they both feel the same, but when i had the rrm CAI I blew my engine block cuz here in PR rains a lot and I was under a hard rain and it scuk in a lot of water wich if in that time I had an injen CAI I could probaby change it to a short ram, wich I do now and avoid a blown engine.

fujita is to new of a company. I dont know anybody who has any of there products, but since they are so new they have no reputation so i wouldnt trust them. Injen has a gre4at reputation and everyone who has there CAI loves it. And RRM, well, we all know about there reputation huh?

Not true. I don't like mine anymore, and plenty of people didn't like theirs because they break too easily.
