Yup, it's most certainly possible if you have all the parts. In the end, though, it's just not worth it (time, labor money, etc.) You'll basically end up with an under-handling narrowbodied Evo.

i don't understand why you would take your fine running ralliart and and rip out all the parts and install evo parts when you can buy an evo ?i could maby see if you lived in canada, but even were not that retarded. i could also see doing this if i was super rich and super board, but then again i wouldn't waste my time with a lancer. this will never happen and if you do try it you wont finish it .

Add more welds throughout the chassis and custom fabricate a wide body.

If you are able to pull it off I would keep it looking stock on the outside. It would be a nice sleeper. Good luck & do a lot of research and measuring befor starting.

i would keep the 2.4 liter, just put a turbo on it. Than put the 6speed tranny and 4wd system from an evo into the ralliart. if you have money and the skill, its possible. That way u got the bigger motor, all the tourque, an extra gear to cruise, and of course 4wd. PLus it'll be way more original seeing a 4g69 w/ awd rather than just an evo in a ralliart's body

+1 ^ but I'm not all that sure that a 2.4 single cam is really better then a 2.0 double cam. It would be easier to turbo the 4g69 then to do the swap and it would be more original. I don't know.

I don't think that the 4g69 motor will hook up to the EVO tranny. Something about the motor turning in the opposite direction. Correct me if I'm wronge.

Don't use the 2.4L. In the long run the 4G63 is more friendly to heavy modding, plus, there's a lot more parts available. You're going to want that with this kind of custom car.

yea i would think you would have to cut the gas tank and install a fuel cell (there's supposedly an OZ here that supposedly did that swap and thats what he supposedly did...)
