I don't have mine yet. It should be in the mail by now, though.

I'm very happy to see someone with his expertise willing to take a deeper look at our car's ECU. Also, thanks for stepping up, ralliart329. I'm also sending some documentation his way which should hopefully help out.

awesome, it seems this is beginning to come to a head. All the right people are just falling into place. It's great that we can get some people on board to solve this.

Well, don't count on me to flash my ECU any time soon. I just got the tactrix cable, USB->serial converter I needed to use the R4 program, and got it all hooked up and working. I've been logging pretty much every time I drive just to get a feel for the software and the normal range of certain values, but I'm not going to be makign any changes with it for a while.

I did get the TPS to display right in Mitsulogger, though. Where it was reading 51.765% to 93.333%, it now reads 0.001% to 99.999%.

Dan, have you kept up on the progress of base Lancers and flashes? Z_Lancer_Man ran into a HUGE issue when tuning his turbo kit using ECUflash. When we tuned his turbo OZ for WOT, the ecu was hitting loads around 80-90. No problem, we tuned it and worked great. However, we found that the ECU hits those same loads when off boost, causing way too much fuel to be dumped and throwing the car into limp mode. The Evo ECU handles this by having a broader load map. 0-100 for non-boost, and 110-200 (or something close to that) for when on boost.

Anyone trying to flash a turbo Ralliart will have the same problem.

Ive got a question about the tactrix cable. Can you read fuel trims on it or other sensor data?

Yes, although the readings you will get from Evoscan and Mitsulogger do not agree. I'm not sure if Mitsulogger reads trims correctly, but I know Evoscan does not. One of mine was reading 122% the other day, and I still didn't have a CEL. The reading from Mitsulogger was lower, somewhere around 110%, which is *just* before the ECU will throw a code and the CEL.

The nice thing about both programs is that you can always edit the formulas to make it read correctly, if you gather enough raw data and do a little number crunching.

hmm normally fuel trims are maxed at 25% or 50% adjust with 0% being no trim, maybe then 100% means no trim?
