Transmission question

So, how exactly is our transmission similiar to an evo's transmission? When I got my car, I read online that the Ralliart's transmission was lifted from an Evo. Im just curious to what exactly was pulled from the evolution.

I was just like "wtf?" when I read the online reviews, most say "and the transmission was lifted from the Evo..."

maybe it was inspired by the evo.. haha
But as kreepa said...
The shifting assembly is the same (AKA the shifter, the bushings, and the underhood bushings)
The 1-2 synchro's are apparently the same, never tested it though so don't take me on that.. haha
Maybe the screws are the same? and we can use similar tranny fluid.. haha
O yea we both have 5speed's... (except the 6spd tranny from the RS/etc)

Mitsu has the habit of reusing tranny cases and just changing the guts inside. However, in this case, there's not terribly much in common between the two.

If ti's the same as the Evo, I will say what a crappy tranny. Mine crapped out with only about 180 to the wheel, so I dont wanna drive an Evo with 400 hp from a dig...I'd be to scared to break something

But it is not...Evo trannys are also kinda crappy, depending on how you drive

most of the time the crap is not the tranny , its just a malfunction on the piece behind the steering wheel

Eh, i dunno. Not always. My 1st gear, Neutral, and Reverse all disappeared overnight. at 26000 miles. Luckily after fighting for a week straight the local Mitsu dealer finally just gave me a new .

OR, maybe that the piece behind the wheel it too good for the tranny. We already know they are crappy, just see how many RA's in PR have second gear grind

How much power would our trannys stand? did Turbotech from Aguada the 500HP Rally changed anything in the tranny? besides pressure plate and maybe lsd?
