CAI induced CEL

A frustrating one this. My ECL absolutely refuses to shut off after the install of the RRM CAI. I've had it repeatedly checked over, there are no leaks whatsoever, filter is fine, and all scans indiciate normal operation. All mechanics I have spoken too are mostly baffled. Anyone else encountered this issue?

Try resetting the ECU and driving it slowly for about 40 miles sometimes helps..!!

^ I agree.

1. As migue mentioned
2. Reset the ecu and drive for a long while, perhaps it needs time to shut off.
3. Make sure the pod filter is on secure.
4. Make sure the MAF sensor is secured down.
5. No leaks (as you have already done)

Do you mean ECL = check engine light?

If so.. I've beentroubleshooting for months:

Are you getting the P0171? You said all scans indicate normal operation, so maybe ECL doesnt mean the check enginelight?

I'll try resetting the ECU and yes, I did intend for it to mean CEL my bad. And PS, as a new member I find you all tremendously helpful, thanks a lot! Cheers

Did you re-install the MAF Sensor backwards ? is it pointing in the right direction ?
(not sarcasm....a serious question )
