have you found your answers yet?
1. a few people have it installed, but no one has posted up until jessie55. his DIY is in the DIY subforum.
2. gains are the same as with any piggyback unit, there are many factors involved in calculating your gains. you don't add a piggyback unit for actual gains, but to be able to tune the ECU for the mods you have installed so you can use them properly. the power is there already, the computer is not tuned to use it.
3. with the safcii you can change your MAP signal to force the ECU to add or subtract fuel.
4. The MAP sensor signal has not been tested for fuel modification yet, and some sources I have found think that it is used only to check the EGR system and will have no effect on the fuel system. only testing will verify the MAP sensors actual influence on the ECU; Jessie55 does not have a wideband, I have an SMT-6 that I may hook up to the MAP sensor if it can't reproduce the MAF signal on an o-scope (I have one being shipped to me, but that's next weekend), and nobody else who has the safcii has enough car/tuner knowledge to tell us what's going on. Either that, or they just want to be like that
some people are just like that.

if i already bought the safc2, and its just sitting around doing nothing...would it be stupid to purchase the piggyback ecu as well, and have both installed when dynoed...or could be beneficial to have both when tuned?

HOW ABOUT YOU READ A LITTLE BIT. you are asking questions about an advanced concept and until now I have been nice. stop asking dumb questions and read. asking the questions you are asking is akin to asking a mechanic to walk you through an engine swap
stop asking questions until you have educated yourself a little more, and when you have specific issues that need to be explained to you I will be glad to help again. until then, you are on your own.

well how bout this DANGEROUS DAN. A i dont have the safc2, i made a mistake its actually the AFC NEO, and B all i wana know is it afc controller will accomplish the same them im looking for in tuning wise to enhance my engine, rather than to order the piggyback ecu which i feel would be pointless. instructions for installing an engine, nice comparison. how about if someone needs some help, if u dont wana be of any help just go and be a smart a** with someone else
I'm not being a smart ***, you are not listening to me. you are asking if you need two fuel controllers man, and it's quite obvious when you ask a question like that that you have not done the background research required for an advanced concept such as tuning. I have answered all of your questions, but I'm not going to hold your hand for you. that's what the comparison was for. If you want to continue to flood the forums with idiotic questions, and then call the only guy who is trying to help you understand your fallacy a smart ***, you can do it without any help. take a step back and do what I say man, when you are done researching this topic you will come back and apologize. If you don't, it won't hurt my feelings, but I am putting my money on the fact that once you realize I was right you will feel differently than you do now.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THE RESEARCH, TAKE WHAT YOU HAVE AND GO FIND SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT AND LET THEM TAKE CARE OF THE TECHNICAL STUFF. this is not something you can learn in five minutes from asking questions.
EDIT: you do realize that no matter what you think of me, another member of this forum plainly called you stupid already. you are going to continue to get this kind of attitude from the people who can really help you unless you quit acting like this other member has suggested you are.

i already told u ur right. now how about a question i cant find in the forums. does the afc neo controller work on the ralliart? i wouldnt c y not, but w/e u tell me, ill take ur word for, ight broseph
well as answered in your thread you made JSavas (assuming that is your name etc).
The SAFC and probably the Neo need an output from the MAF Sensor to work. Our MAF Sensors give out a certain output which is a ***** for the Neo or the SAFC to decipher from what i know of and from what i've gained by reading up on it. (Hence why i have a RRM piggyback instead haha). But there are people who are making some great break throughs with the install.

the MAF sensor on our cars is a karmen vortex type. It outputs a square waveform from 0 to 5 volts, and the frequency changes with airflow. you have to find a unit that supports a frequency based MAF.
there are timestamps on our posts. I wrote this before I wrote some other post, and I tried to respond to you directly in any thread you said something to me so people who are searching get the same information no matter which of the few threads we have spoken in. I don't want anyone pissed off at me, or anyone to think that I was bashing you. I have all the time in the world to type on the interwebz, so it's no big deal for me to respond.

well i hope the shop i get my car dynoed at is able to tune my ecu with my neo controller, if not im gonna have to purchase the piggyback unit, redyno and then try n tune once again
should be getting my wideband a/f within a month if my life finally reverts to normal and i quit getting *** raped by bad luck then i can finally solve the mystery of the Ralliart and SAFC II or somone could just write me a cheque that works too....no im kidding lol
