Noise from clutch bearing
Hi boys, I want to know if some of you have seen this problem before. There's a customer that brings his car two week ago for a little sound from the engine compartment. When you just depress the clutch pedal just a little bit, the sound is stopping. We put off the transmission and I've turn the clutch bearing in my hand... the noise was going from there, So we put a brand new bearing. 2 days after the customer come back and the noise was already there... The mitsubishi techline tell us to change the sleave bearing too... So we put off again the tranny and change the bearing and the sleave.... Everything was ok for another week... The pressure plate and the clutch are Ok... Any of you have seen this problem or got an idea ?
Mine does that, but to be completely honest, I've been ignoring it for about 50,000 miles now. I really didn't/don't want to bother with it until it's time to replace my clutch. I had intended to replace the throwout bearing, sleeve bearing, and release fork. Only other place I could fathom the noise coming from is if the release fork were somehow rattling against the slave cylinder piston.
i have the same noise, when i put my clutch in there was no noise after driving it, i heard the noise.if i play around with the fork, and engage the clutch manually i hear that noise, i think it has to do with the fork and the release bearing
heres a little more info
CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING
CAUTION
Release bearing is packed with grease. Therefore, do not
wash it in a cleaning solvent.
1. Check for seizure, damage, noise or binding/rough rotation.
2. Check for wear on the surface which contacts with the
diaphragm spring.
3. Check for wear on the surface which contacts with the
release fork. If abnormally worn, replace.
.
RELEASE FORK
If the surface which contacts with the bearing is abnormally
worn, replace.
Good Luck
