Yes you can. Just make sure is a 2.25 inch cat. RRM is selling the high flows too. If not ebay it?

The guy at my shop did this for me. It doesn't sound nice or anything but better than the raspiness.

Some people say it's because I still have my stock muffler but I don't know because you can clearly hear the nasty sound coming from where the cat was installed (where the raspiness was coming from as well).

I'm sure if I swap out the muffler it will sound a little better towards the rear but you will still hear the nasty sound coming from the cat.

It sounds like an old 80's nissan truck would.

Lately though, it's been sounding a little better or I'm just getting used to it. If you would have asked me a month ago if I would have done it over again I would have said no. But my answer right now would be yes.

80s nissan truck > honda raspiness

Wish I had a sound clip.. I'll see if I could get one soon.

Also, I put in the RRM Magnaflow HFC.

Oh yeah, and the raspiness is 100% GONE.

If someone else has done this with the stock muffler and has a nice sounding setup, then I would guess there is something wrong with my setup.

Sometimes I get people tell me 'there is DEFINATELY wrong something with your car' or 'It sounds like you're car is breaking down.'

i had a high flow cat welded in for 70$. I can't tell if i got ripped of or not and dont really care lol. But anyways the raspiness is drastically reduced! I had stock axle back and when I had the headers and downpipe (4-1) installed I didn't like the powerband or raspiness. The cat smoothed out the powerband and improved low end response A LOT! Just be sure you have the cat meltdown TSB performed on your ralliart before you do. I didnt and sure as **** about six months later my cat came apart. Honeycomb managed to turn sideways in the cat . And I had to fish chunks of it out of my resonator. But I highly recommend gettin one welded in. Only downside is you ruin the beautiful, clean look of downpipe.

meltdown TSB? could you explain? I've never had to get a cat installed on any of my cars.. i normally just ran them catless. But this time around I want to be cat'ed and I was unaware of anything other than just a simple weld job.

You can't use stock muffler w/ header or dp, or both! It will just sound like ***.

To original poster, just get a high flow Magnaflow cat put in, plus a Magnaflow resonator, and muffler (which you already have) and it'll sound much better. It will still be a little loud, but at least it will sound good!

The only REAL way to quiet it down is to add a turbo!

The RRM CBE is only a Cat-back exhaust.. meaning it replaces everything behind the cat. The cat remains the same.

yup, I had no choice. I hit a huge rock that ripped apart the stock one a couple weeks ago. It was a straight dump behind the flex pipe. So I had to run catless, I haven't the money for a cat since its being spent on a clutch. I hate the idea of being catless, especially since my car smells like burnt gas. The sound of the setup is very raspy, but I get the whole fart can sound when I go more than 25% throttle. It gets very annoying, though it saves gas because I hate getting on the throttle due to the sound.
