LMAO at Dan's drawing.. haha

If I pickup my exhaust from my parent's house this weekend, I'll try to get some pictures and show you what he means.

But to make it clearer, a HFC won't fit since the RRM DP has a bend shown below.

That bend right behind the hanger (to the left of the hanger to be exact) makes it a biatch to fit a HFC in. Therefore what Dan is saying is that you need to cut a part of the Midpipe off to fit a cat in, which will push the mounting flange down.

Another angle.

thanks J.

cut out the part between the flange and the bend. weld the cat in. measure the difference between the stock downpipe length and the DP and HFC. you have to remove that much out of your midpipe section. the adapters to go from the smaller DP to the bigger HFC are cheap as hell at autozone. pick up a coupler while you are at it so you can just rough cut the midpipe section out, and adjust as necessary so you have something to weld if you didn't consider the kerf

another tip. bolt everything up before you weld the midpipe section back together and it's much easier to line up the flange. you can tack it all in place and take it back off the car to weld the rest.

No problem.. that'll just be 50$ for the assistance... my services don't come cheap.. haha jk

But yea Dan's not lying. Also I don't know about anyone else here, but my first O2 sensor was stripped upon install by the dealer. Damned thing spun like butter before i could even put weight on it. Luckily instead of spending the large amount of Cash to replace it I put a defouler on it and well I'll just keep it like that until I get a cat.

And Dan.. yes i know I'll get a Cat ASAP. I just need to do my clutch first. Kinda useless to get a cat when I can't drive the car.
