rrm downpipe... can you weld a typical CAT into it?
no it won't, at least not in my application it wouldn't. midas told me it wouldn't fit at all (and they are closed minded) so I ended up putting it on myself. the only way to make it fit is to remove some of the midpipe and extend the downpipe(with the cat) I have already explained this, more than once. I even called RRM and they told me the same thing Rock is saying now. the HFC is small, but it's still too big for the VERY small length of straight tubing in the DP (at least the 1st gen, I would imagine the 2nd gen has the same bends/lengths.) I am sure with some modification to the cat and welding into the bends it could fit, but that's the long and hard way to do it.
simplified: cut straight section out of DP, weld in CAT. cut section out of midpipe. weld back together. put back on car.

actually i prove you wrong cause i have a cat welded right into the rrm dp
meaning i can totally swap the dp back to stock dp anytime i want..
i had to get it custom fitted tho

take pics, I would like to see how it fits. the one they sent me would have been just too close to the flange and would have ended just after the bend began. They also sent me one size up, and when I called they said it was because you had to do some "customizing" to make it fit. let me see
