question on tuning

is there a way for a shop to tune the piggyback without using the dyno?

sorry im very new to tuning but made an appointment with this shop..

he said somthing about using 3d graphs..??
coulndt really understand him due to his thick japanese accent

well not really that is unless they guy knows his thing so well he knows what to change and what not to do...

you can always street tune w/ a wideband, but it can get you into trouble and/or killed

im not sure what the 3d graphs would do that makes him think he wouldnt need a dyno. PR is right, street tuning is possible if you get a wideband but you really have to know what you're doing. I'd find someone who will dyno tune it for you.

what mods do you have? their are a few piggy maps that DangerousDan has made for different mods that are in a thread.

if he street tunes it, he needs to hook up a wideband system to your car b/c the RRM piggy doesnt have one. if he wants to put one in temporarily to tune your car for you then why not. if your use the car as a daily driver a good street tune might be more effective anyway.

A big reason why not to do a street tune is due to the high speeds and erratic driving behavoir it requires. Dyno tune is safer and can be done more quickly and accurately.

well im sure he can tune the Air Fuel Ratio on your car (using a wide band) but besides that he can modified anything the ECU/piggy let him tune, but how do you know it improves!!??

BuTTDyno is not that precise !! hehe
