it will still grind sometimes that way. you shouldn't be shifting into first unless stopped or rev matching at low speed.

i really have never grinded into 1st unless it was going from reverse to first and still rooling backwards a bit, lol if it doesnt want to go i give a little rev to open it up then it works great. imo
