Do the headers from the 00-05 eclipse rs 2.4L fit the lancer ralliart??? done the research alrady and nothing comes up but i talked to my cousin and he told me to find out because their the sames engines except that I have MIVEC, but he wasnt sure enough though. Hoping sommeone here will know. other wise for $250 i could get them costum made in Puerto Rico with one of his friends. Or what about if I could cut the eclipse header to make it fit because theres only a couple inches in differences of the 4g69 being the same from 4g63.

 

I don't think anyone has tried and there's really not a whole lot similar between the 4G63 and 4G69. The blocks may be from the same family, but the heads are completely different, and I wouldn't get my hopes up too much about using a header from a 4G64.

 

dont the new eclipses have the 4g69 with mivec as well?

 

new eclipse has mivec and engine looks exacly like mine

 

You all don't read so well, do you? He's asking about the 00-05 Eclipses, which run the 4G64 engine.

i believe another guy with the 4g69 in his 4th gen eclipse try to put his old headers from his 3rd gen eclipse. and it didnt work. i think there were some fitmit issues and ses light coming on from different place ment of the O2 sensors.

i know even the RRM's header for the ralliart wont work with out some minor modification for the 4G eclipse GS. same engine but something with the 02 sensors agian.

 

I can confirm for you that the headers for the R.A MIVEC 4G69 does not fit the Eclipse.. due to the difference in chassis being different but they do bolt up to the engine itself... hope that makes sense

It will not work. The ports are in different positions.

 

Sorry I thought you were talking about the newer Eclipse with the 4G69....
