throttle body question

i read on the internet that if you knifeedge the throttle body plates leading edge so that air has less of a dissruption flowing around it that you could get better throttle response, anything wrong with this idea?

only thing wrong with it, is that it will have minimal effect, and if you screw up the plate, the car will idle too high... You don't want to remove any material from the circumferance of the plate... I've done it before on several engines, and could not tell a difference... But, then again, I did several times on several engines because I was trying every little trick and technique to get maximum performance out of the engine...

Though in all honesty, probably not gonna notice any gains in performance and very little change in throttle response...

well, you won't get very clean results from a dremel tool... Its not that steady of a tool to work with... All of the ones I have done were on a lathe... This way I could make sure not to take anything off the circumference... You could shave with them when I was done though

I honestly wouldn't bother using the dremel for fine machine type work... It has its place don't get me wrong, but this just isn't one of them... When I do use a dremel for anything, its to rough out a part, then I hand finish the work...
