^most ppl do, it depends what you like, but with a HFC you wouldnt have to worry about police bugging you.

i'm catless and only have the dp, but have the RRM catback exhaust and it.. well its raspy as hell and through certain rpm's the exhaust rattles a bit (aka farting)... but other than that i don't mind it. Only downfall is that its loud but I have other things in mind now other than a catalytic.

I have that combo and it sounded raspy, threw in a HFC from RRM and it sounds beautiful.

No raspiness at all, it sounds powerful and deep when you get on it.

When you don't get on it it's pretty quiet but you can still hear it has performance mods done to it.

The pics here are before the HFC. Now, I got a bigger flexpipe put in (bolts kept coming loose from some reason) and the hfc from RRM.

Hope this helps.

it sounds raspy, but no where near compared to a honda. I had RRM downpipe, no cat, and stock header, and it sounded real nice. only high pitched at high rpms. down low was nice..

nothing sounds better than my car now. Very loud deep tone, and the cam makes it sound a lil more aggresive. I still have no cat.

When i got my exhaust done at first all i had was a Magnaflow mufler, and car sounded nice, Then i went to muffler shop and got that crushed part of the downpipe replaced with 2.25 piping and i got a Magnaflow High Flow Cat. The car was ok at some rpms, but right around 3-4,000rpm VERY RASPY, and i hated it. Since then i have added a long 18inch resonator, and now the car sounds amazing. It is not raspy at ALL at any rpm, and it is not loud at all, all you hear if you really pin it, is just whooshing sound at the back , kind of resembling a turbocharged car. Nothing loud. i can try and get a sound clip. But i would recomend to anyone touching a downpipe or header on our cars to go with high flow cat, stock resonator and probably an additional resonator. thats just my opinion tho. what do you guys think

My car doesn't sound raspy at all. I have everything. Sounds wonderful when mivec kicks in. The hondas know their fate when they hear my car coming. jk. You won't regret it.

if you don't have a cat chances are your CEL will be on. I had the DP with a cheap HFC(probably the problem) with the spacer on the second o2 sensor and my CEL was still on.

From what I read it's a hit or miss. I have RRM's HFC and they told me my o2 doesn't look all that great. It turns on and off when it wants to.

tthis is going to sound stupid but.. do you need a gasket for each flange?
also, can you reuse the gasket from the old header?

Tw3NTy0n3 - did you use a weld on hfc, or did you flange it
