RRM HEADER +dp COMBO
It's not the ralliart owners, for the most part we don't see this kind of stuff. I don't go into the OZ forum and start telling people what to do everyone is here because we like the same thing wether it's a 400 whp evo or a sub 200 whp N/A Lancer.....
no, I believe he was already headed for the door when amby opened it and showed him out. there were multiple posts deleted, looks like a few of mine as well as his. sometimes things get out of hand, that's why we have mods. thanks amby.
seriously thanks amby now lets get back to our civilized
conversation that we were having. before it started going down hill and to all the people reading this thread i apologize about the whole commotion that went on in here.

ya know ive done alot of custom exhaust and for the most part i believe the sound part of it really comes from the tip you have on the end ill try to get a post of my car it sounds really nice and deep its 2.5" from cat back but im workin on my turbo kit so i didnt want to invest in the HDP combo, ehter way it makes sence
1 if you have a exhaust that looks like this ( pic 1) it will pretty much for sure be raspy imo
2. or if your exhaust is like this at the end ( pic 2) it will pretty much sound deep and not raspy
3. also quality of the tip piece is a factor to some are built more solid i.e less vibration, some arent so they vibrate internaly

to some extent the shape, especially the shape of the tip, dictate sound. most of your better sounding exhaust parts are from quality though. the filler, materials, and welds all make a big difference. filler is the most important part in sound damping and tonal quality. thick and high quality will prevent it from burning out and it will take out all your high frequency sounds, thin and cheap and you will either end up with a shell and burnt out filler or at the very least it won't quell the high frequency sounds as well. the size of the body of the muffler plays a role, you can fit more filler in an oval muffler. also, larger shapes allow the sound to bounce around more, and it interferes with the other sounds waves.
