Some info on 4g69 Valves

I pulled out an intake/exhaust valve from a 4g69 Mivec head.
After measurements and checking Supertech info this is what i found.

Without a valve guide change, we can use valves from the 420a.
If you use 4g63 valves, you will have to change the valve guides.

overall lengths dont match exactly but are close. lash adjusters may have to move from -2mm to +4mm.

hope this info helps

I will be interested once I begin my turbo build when I get out of tech school. I wanna talk to rock and see what all ideas we can come up with for building a good street/strip car. Keep me posted on if they are available or not

This is very interesting. I have been tempted to build a car other than my Ralliart as I get the money because of the lack of parts available for it but it seems like new discoveries are being made all the time. Might just keep the Ralliart to mess with after all.

yea theres alot of parts that click together for the ralliart. 3-4 years ago the aftermarket only consisted of RRM, but now ppl are coming out with new things, and ppl are figureing out certain eclipse and evo parts fit our motor, so that makes tuning it that much easier and better.

Yeah. I sort of think it would be more fun to mess with trying things like the valves than to just buy something and put it on anyways really. I have a friend with a really modified EVO and we are gonna work together this summer on trying to use his turbo and making some intercooler pipes and buying a couple things to get his stock turbo and intercooler on my Ralliart. Assuming all goes well I will start trying to build the motor to take more boost then probably.
