or you can just suck up the negligible power difference from the CAI and convert to SRI and not have to deal w/ hydrolock

 

that is also an option! I'll sleep on it

 

Update. I installed the bypass valve and the filter wrap and have had no problems since. I feel more confident driving when it's raining or for that matter, when it's wet outside period. The bypass valve was an easy install, probably shouldve taken pictures and put up a how to, but I didn't think about that until now!
