RA oil pan

I need to know if all 4g69 oil pan will fit my 04 RA. I've been quoted 271$ plus taxes for a replacement from my local dealership.

Would the pan out of a Galant 2.4 fit?

I need EXACT information as I found this :

http://cgi.ebay.ca/New-Oil-Pan-fit-2...item2ea09fb920

It would still be 50$ cheaper than my Mitsubishi quoted me.

I want to be 100% sure before I buy it!!

Try talking to Raikiri since he has dropped his pan recently and can probably help the most. I'm confident that it will bolt up to the motor but not 100% sure if it will give the same clearance for exhaust etc. By the way here's one even cheaper

Thx guys for the help!

@lanzerralliart : I've seen that other one, but the years don't match. I'm not sure if it would fit on the 4g69 engine. The 2000-2005 eclipses used a 4G64 engine. I have better chances with the other one (at least it's for a 4g69)...

a 4g69 engine i'd think would be the same all around... however i'll take a picture of mine in its entirety tomorrow and i'll post it up. hopefully they'll appear to be the same shape

I had to get one and I called Mits. and got basically the same quote w/gasket. I ended up ordering one from a used parts/junk yard down in Texas for $90 that includes shipping. and used the gasket in a tube and worked perfect.

I would probably do that if I wasn't sure I'd get a pan with the exact same problem I'm dealing with already. Roads here are crappy, there is snow (sometimes 1 foot/day - happened 6 times during one winter 2 years ago) and they use tons of salt. The only option is not to cheap it out. Or I'll end up changing it 2 years from now again. Thanks anyways for the suggestion!

Did your old oilpan rust itself out from the salt then? That's how my ralliart was when I got it that's why I had to swap mine out it was leaking good. I would use some kind of HQ no rust paint and coat it good.

I am in the same situation. Corrosion from harsh winters and road salt. I caught my leak in time to put a temp fix on it with some expoxy after I cleaned up the pan to bare metal.

I haven't found a pan online anywhere. Looks like I'll have to go to the dealer as well.

x2 on a good rust preventative paint or maybe get it powder coated.

Yeah it started leaking. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to go through winter with it. It's past saving point.

The replacement one will probably get an epoxy coating after being installed.

I'll need a new valve cover gasket as well. It's leaking around the spark plugs.

I hope this will take some of my oil consuption away... Right now I need half a pint between oil changes :S

I have a spare oil pan i can sell you. It has been sitting around for 2 years and needs to be cleaned up. It also has metal shavings in it from when i blew my motor the 2nd time lol. If you want it let me know. I'll call my mech and see if its still salvagable.
