Problem with new clutch

Just had some work done on my transmission had new bearings put in.
I also needed a new clutch and decided to install a new flywheel so I bought the stage 2 from Works ended up with a new slave and master cylinder plus now the car will roll if you have your foot on the clutch with it in gear. Apparently the car drives fine just rolls in gear. Basically the shop is blaming the Works clutch(I'm not blaming them yet just for the record) Any ideas ?

Would this be installer error ? I mean the disc looked identical to the one I had on the car previously. Could it be the throw out bearing ?

Any ideas, other than buy another clutch.

**** WHY do I mod cars again ?

From what i have read it sounds like the clutch is not disengaging is this correct? Your not on a hill are you or even a small incline or decline?

I haven't driven it yet I'm just going on what the shop is telling me. Yes it's safe to say it's not disengaging completely so only neutral will stop it I assume.

They want to put a stock clutch in but I don't want to give up just yet because I'd have to pay for labor on that as well plus a stock clutch will not last for me I'm stuck between a rock and hard place....

I'm going to give you a little shocker right now. The guy who owned the car before installed a Works clutch in the tranny and it must have been in for about 8K miles before he yanked it out. Something about the design of the clutch was just physically grinding the tranny and the pictures I saw the tranny had huge gouges in it.

Sir I would recommend you call up works asap. If you need a clutch and/or flywheel I can hook you up on the cheap. Look up threads started by "bruce998" he used to own my car and you should see the pics I'm talking about.

Apparently WORKS have discontinued the flywheels and clutches for the Ralliart So it looks like I'll only be able to get a refund from them when I can send this garbage back to them.

Drove the car home at least the growl is gone... They screwed up my turbo timer I have no idea how but it doesn't work anymore .

So it doesn't roll on it's own like they said it just won't go in gear at all and it grinds bad. It's ok once you get going but if you can't get into gear then forget it.

I don't know what to do....... I just shelled 1800 out on this.

Does anyone know if the clutch rod from the Evo will fit in the RA slave are they the same ?

you might want to shoot TMZ Performance an email and ask him. He might be able to answer your question.

What bearing went? My tranny is making a clatter which appears to be the input shaft bearings going. Is that what you had done?

No joke when I say that 04 RA's have a TSB for entire transmission replacement. My entire transmission blew up from material failure. I have pics and receipts to prove damage. **** was not pretty.

I can't really say whats going on with it however I did look into adjusting the pedal assembly but when I got underneath the rod was all the way out already so I'm guessing since my works flywheel didn't fit that I have the wrong clutch in there as well at least thats what I'm hoping because the alternative to that isn't good.

I wish I had more tools and a proper garage I'd do this myself instead I'll be spending god only knows how much trying to get back on the road.

That just sounds like a whole lot of hurt.

I know what the shop is talking about, every once in awhile my OEM doesn't want to let me get in to gear. When this happens I try to force my car in to first or second and I can feel the force of the gear shift not engaging moving the car kind of like it's creeping. Once I can get the car in gear it moves forward slightly without letting off the clutch any.

And then it just disappears and drives all buttery until the next time it happens.. I've developed a neutral gear rattle on startup.. Ralliartize_it is that the TSB you sent me before having to do something with the AC compressor as well or is there another one I should be looking for? Hit me up if you can find that haha not like my dealer will take a glance at it any though. "derr whats a TSB derr"
