Please Help! Ralliart won't turn over!
A MAF code won't stop it from cranking. In fact it won't even stop it from starting. You can unplug the MAF entirely and it should still start albeit in limp mode but it should still start.

Update:
Okay so I did yet another compression test. Being in college I trusted my brother with the numbers and his word on perfect compression. The test unfortunately came back with only 30-40psi in each cylinder. Did a leak down test and compression shot back up. I then called around asking shops quotes on rebuilding bottom end of engine and ended up deciding upon buying another engine with 28k miles on it for $1250 shipped. And having a mechanic put it in for $650 with fluids.
Thanks everybody for your input and help provided. I appreciate it and hopefully, knock on wood, that my Ralliart will start right back up.
Sucks because I have only owned the Ralliart for maybe 2 months and three weeks it has sat with a blown engine

build up the old motor...then swap again when it's done
i would be inclined to check if it would be the valves or rings if the compression is low...but that's me...good luck with the swap my friend

Thanks man! I hope so too. For only having 60,000 miles which is pretty low I would rather be spending the $2,000 towards a turbo kit and selling my bolt ons! Oh well, this has been a great learning experience and I am hoping that everything goes as planned
Exactly! And thank you! Once the old engine is out, it will give me a lot more space and ease to take a look at it this summer. I think this engine would be a fun build around a turbo kit but with my budget and being a college student it's going to take a good couple of years. And I'm not sure how well it would go if I stuck it on here for the parts that are salvagible.
Good point! Thread
