I am very interested in buying these pistons and I'd like to hear from anyone who has them.

From a power standpoint how are they?

Any effect to your mpg?

Did you have to buy new rods?

How much was the install?

 

The only people I recall that has them in the 4g69 is LSD and kaocage. I "have" them but they aren't installed. I'd imagine a little more acceleration based on the same compression ratio being used if they are lighter.If anyone knows the weight of the oem pistons I'll go closet diving to see the weight of the weisco piston for comparison purposes. I wouldn't think rods would be a must but a smart move since they are the weakest link and your right there anyway. And if anyone has the stock rods to weight I can post up the Manley H beam rod weight also.

You wont need new rods. The stock rods are forged and many people run boosted with them(8-12psi with a good tune) and from a performance standpoint it will depend on your current mods and what compression ratio you choose them
