The reason i mentioned the NPT vs BSPT thing is that if the aftermarket sending unit has NPT threads, you'll need an adapter.
Eh, I'm not so electronic savvy. I know how to built **** up and stuff but when it comes to wires I need like a diagram but when I buy it I'll ask you about some things.

I can't find AMSoil around where I live so I guess I'm going to use Royal Purple just because I like purple. Haha.

lol, verify continuity of the antenna cable, and then go from there, lol could be the reciever itself, then there's a bunch of stuff that could be broken, i don't even know if it uses discrete components, or if the circuits are integrated. If both AM and FM doesn't work, then they might share a common audio amp, or maybe the antenna is disconnected.

And that's strange you can't find AMSoil, up here they sell it at canadian tire.

You have to buy it from the Amsoil website or a dealer.

Yeah, I went to like every local auto store around where I live and there's none so I just went with Mobil 1 Syn. And AM and FM don't have a signal. The wires are correct but I have no clue what's wrong. I could take a picture of it and send it to you but I don't know if that would help at all. Everything else works besides FM and AM.

If both recievers do not work, that is odd, unless they both have many circuits in common which is totally different than military aircraft radios. I would check the antenna first, then it could be the power supply (which they probably share), or an amplifier circuit (which they also might share) I would double check the connections, post a couple pics and i'll compare it to the wiring diagram, you use the stock head unit?
