To machine or not machine this flywheel??
lol i dont even know who he is :P, i called a tranny guy today he said they machine about 90% of flywheels i explained to him my condition he said they probably wouldnt bother maching it, im going to take him the photos tomorrow and see what he thinks if he says bring it in then hopefully this weekend we can get it off lol and i can measure it up at work aswell see how she looks
yeah i went and should him the photos on tues and he said he could see signs of oem maching still and that its not worth it, only run into problems with the new clutch disk when u have heat cracks and burn spots so im not goona bother removing it. Thanks for the offer tho maybe u feel nice and wanna help me russle the tranny back in a week or two i just got the parts today so next week will be rebuild week yay :/ im dying to drive a decent car again damn vibe
Score one for the disturbed folks
I did not know about OEM machining marks, burn spots and such, but just from the straight edge test and the generally smooth finish are the reasons I said not to machine.
