Cleaning TI exhaust tips

So heres a question for all your cleaning gurus out there. I was at the last week and managed to melt part my diffuser. No big deal, didnt melt a ton and will just fit some heat shields over my exhaust tips. M issue is how to clean all the plastic and crap off the tips without ruining the finish? Heres a pic of one of the tips

So whats the best way to clean these?

superfine steel wool should take that right off without scratching the metal. try a test spot if you are unsure
shine it up with some Flitz when done.

they're sitting pretty close, haven't had any issues until i was at watkins glen for two days in july. exhaust has been on there for roughly 6-7 months now. will be picking up some heat shields now.

Brake cleaner!!! It works wonders! I did a Google search and all the rocket guys use Brake cleaner to clean their titanium, so I tried it and it works really well!!!

I use Eagle 1 Never Dull first to buff then wipe with a clean terry or microfiber.

I have heard autosol is great but may take off the burnt finish.

This would be on my Greddy Ti Rolled Tip

I had the same issue. Brake cleaner didnt get the plastic **** off. I tried everything I had but still nothing. A week or two later, I checked on my tip and it totally disappeared. The plastic burnt off into ash after having it heat up during my commutes. I suppose in due time, it will burn off without leaving a mark... Well for me it did on my Jic full Ti Bullet. GL !
