Intake manifold

Im looking to upgrade my intake manifold on my 05 ra.... I found one on rrm but they charge an extra 300 and they force u to send them your old one to them and they will rebate u the 300.... But i found the skunk2 IM for the evo.... Will it fit my RA?

Just either have yours ported or port it yourself. Not to hard I did mine myself.

yeh same for me. i had my guy port the stock manifold, its better to do urself because sending it out somewhere u never know what ur gunna get. and if u dont like what they did there isnt really anything u can do about it.. i have pics in my album.. check em out..

Yeah i was thinking about that too but i drive my car to work everyday i cant have it taken out to get it ported thats why i was justgonna buy an aftermarket 1.... Do u know if the evo IM will fit my ra?

The Evo 8-9 IM will bolt up but you will lose torque while gaining some hp if I remember correctly but I might be thinking of the 4g eclipse. Theres a thread here that isn't to old , do a quick search I'm sure you'll see it. Also RRM's IM isn't aftermarket, it an oem one ported and powdercoated.

You can port your own IM and as for the down time. Just buy mine, do the porting at your leisure, and install with a 6 pack....

The evo8 IM is a partial direct fit because it does bolt up but the coolant passage will be an issue. Some modification is needed

this...the thermostat housing bolts to the head on top of the intake manifold flange...
