WATCH SECOND GEAR! I had my ralliart for a few weeks 1700 miles and the synchro for second gear went out and they cant get parts for it in the us untill mid april. I work for Karmart Mitsubishi and the service guy said it was probably from abuse but he was gonna push it thru warrenty but this is a defect in the transmission because ralliarts have a triple synchro on second gear and it is a fairly new design. So just be careful and if it starts to grind when you put it into second take it to the shop!

 

I am now at 12k miles and the only time i seem to notice any 2nd gear problems is when i am really pushing my car. Other than that it has been really smooth for the last few months. I just let it warm up a little longer now, at least a couple of minutes.

 

I noticed a pop into second for the frist 2k or so mainly until i got used to it. Seems to like higher rpms for the shift. Never drive your car cold it is the worst thing for it especially if you drive your car hard. Now if i can just find that annoying tick noise coming from the passenger side when i corner or go over bumps lol. Gonna have to pull all the molding to find it. Come on warm weather.
