Car won't start. Fuh

Alright so I was on my lunch break right now and my friends like you can drive this car pretty hard and since i saw it doesn't REDLine up until 7+ rpms i drove it to 40 MPH in second before i switched to 3rd. And it just so happens after that street when i got to a red light when trying to start back up my car felt like it might have stalled, so when i tried to start it up again I"M NOT GETTING ANYTHING. I'm pissed. I don't know if i messed something up or am I just having bad luck with the car. I tried to jump it and it won't start up. I don't know what to do but I'm about to get it towed to a pep boys.

Please Help

How many miles? Over 120k and it cranks but doesn't turn over timing belt... If it doesnt do anything when you turn the key ignition cylinder if you push the key farther in it might start

I didn't know what was going in because it went from starting everytime to randomly going off with out getting anything. It didn't do anything when I tried to turn her over and she stayed dead. I ended up jumping her got her to turn on and was able to drive it home but even after letting her sit for 15 and driving for 40 it straight died the second I turned her off and wouldn't turn back on. Sounds dumb but I'm just hoping it's the battery. I didn't think it was at first because I couldn't see how it would drive then not turn back on (if I stalled).. -_-

lol...at least it's not the timing belt...battery could be toast...replace it, if it dies again, the alternator is dead or you have a short somewhere...

Battery makes sense , and cheaper than fixing a timing belt snapping for sure .

get it jumped, go to a car place and have them test the battery or alternator. i'm thinking though you may have just loosened the terminals on the battery/alternator when you were driving her pretty hard or maybe a combo of both bad connections and bad battery

Yea if the car stays on once jumped than battery cause the alt is supplying power when it's on an the battery is just to start it and keep memory Alive

Something similar happened to me also, went to start the car and nothing. Boosted it and started fine, drove around for about 30mins went back home and tried to start it and no go. Cleaned the terminals and noticed there was a short, the actual post on the battery had a small hole it. Went to Costco to get a new battery under warranty and it was fine after.

rak you were right the terminals were loose and the battery had no more life in it. they are crappy but i replaced the battery and tightened the terminals and i've had no problems since
