I bought 5 quarts of Mobile 1 Synthetic and that's what I used for my first oil change. I bought my own oil (and being lazy) I decided to pay to have Jiffy Lube do it for me. So I used Mobile 1 Synthetic and you can tell the difference. My car started feeling laggy because I waited till 4,000 miles before I changed the oil. And once I changed it it felt brand new again. Alot smoother on the freeway and high speeds. You can really tell the difference between oil that's been in your engine for 4,000 miles, and fresh oil. I'll make sure not to wait so long on this next oil change.

I have 12,000km on my Ralliart and I use 0W20 Mobil 1. The dealer recomended 5W20 but Mobile 1 says 0W20 can be used where 5W20 is recomended.

I've been getting my oil changes done at the shop, ima switch to mobil 1 synthetic oil, they are the first company to use the synthetic oil, after 200,000 miles on the engine, the engine still looks brand new with not much wear and tear. I've heard many good stuff about it. Only thing about the synthetic oil is that it costs a little more than regular oil fluids, but its good for the long run

According to owners manual 5/30 is recommended for the Ralliart. I put in Mobil 1 full synthetic, I have used it in all the cars I've owned. SO much better for long term life than conventional oil.

i didnt switch yet, I made up my mind im going to stay with regular mobil 1. RRM and few other companies that are making turbo kit for our car doesn't recommend us using synthetic for their turbo kits. I use 10w30 durin the summer and 5w30 during the winter

Well, I'll weigh in too. I've used Mobil One Synthetic for years in my other vehicles. I certainly plan to use it in my RA with the first oil change. Anybody heard of Royal Purple synthetic? Is it what its cracked up to be?

I don't know if my dealership is trippin' or something but i just talked to them and they're all like "yea if you use anything other than 5w-20 you'll void the warranty..." I don't want to take any risks but it looks like that's that i'm gonna have to do. But now i just got off the phone with boch mitsubishi in Norwood, MA and they're like "not that we know of.. we use a range of oil depending on the cars, but i know 5w-30 works fine in it..."

So right now i'm at a loss in words and choice.. not sure what to do, but i'm gonna stick with the 5w-30... peterfuller automotive definitely isn't going to be the place i go to for tune-ups

i just did my first change a 3001.5 miles (damn, missed by 1.5!). I used castrol gtx 5w30. i only took it about 2 miles after, so havnt noticed a diff yet. I am not sure if RRM's turbo can take synthetic or not. I guess the RA has a much better oil pump on than the OZ/ES so it may be able to handle it. ROCK if ur out there, give us an update plz =]

Also, I know lots of ppl say to change the filter on every oil change. I bought a new filter but i forgot to put it on!!!! Dunno how, as soon as i put the first quart in i noticed the box sitting unopend by my jack. Woops! Anyway, does changing the filter every oil change really make a big diff? Im sure it does even less on such a new car, but regardless, 20 mins is a small cost to over-baby a $20k car =)

I did my first oil change at 2997, and just did the second at 7583. Changed the filter the first time, and used Mobil 1 5w-30. I would have changed the filter this time, but the M108 box had a damn STP filter in it.

I took it back to the store and exchanged it for a new M108 and a quart of 5w-30. I'll change the filter either tomorrow or this weekend when I rotate my tires.
