i'm thinking sometime during the holidays? loool gotta confirm with him first though.

The axleback as Garrett has suggested so far is in the top spot, mainly because of how it sounds in youtube vids. I may end up getting something else once I hear my options though. I know that I definitely don't want something that drones on the highway and is overly loud.

I went down to noyzboyz to check out the shop and see what they got this afternoon. They definitely seem to have been around a while. I may check out a different shop that a friend of mine went to as well. I'm pretty sure I want to get something tomorrow. I'm pretty itching to get it. I must say though, I'm not liking the price the shops are saying for just a muffler and tip. I could skip the tip I guess.

Yeah we can take a trip out Garrett's way sometime. I've seen his ride but didn't get enough time to take it for a spin.

piping is piping, its all about flow really. only downside i can say about the "cheaper" exhaust systems is sometimes fitment is slightly off requiring a little more muscle during install(hanger placement, modification of lower tie braces,and/or acd clearance), and sometimes the welds can be weaker at the hangers. my buddy just threw a complete turbo back on his car that he got for less than $300. sounds good, fit well.

I just called a shop down the street from where I live called GT Custom Exhaust http://www.gtcustomexhaust.com/ I asked about a magnaflow axleback and tip install price and he told me like $400. Seems a bit expensive. The guy I talked to seemed to want to push his custom made exhausts that he said are comparable. His price for the comparable was $350 after taxes installed.

No I didn't. I plan to go in tomorrow. GT is literally a few blocks down the road. I'll ask the cost then too.

for my setup, the muffler was $40, the tip was $60 (double wall stainless 2.5" in 3.5" out) and Grizzly's custom exhaust in Barrie welded it in for $100.

That's a good idea. I'm gonna give this guy a call n check out what they have. http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ438146948 Sounds like getting the parts and having a shop put them on would be cheapest.

axlebacks are quieter because u leave the stock resonator and all the important piping that should be replaced for good flow, if u want to do exhaust id suggest going at least catback or more, personally i found the stock exhaust on the RA to be pretty nice and have a nice tone to them, only really problematic area is the part that flatens and goes right under the engine oil pan

So I decided to get the work done at GT. cash deal, $300. They wanted $350 plus taxes. Getting a custom muffler and tip. They wanted $700 for a catback. I don't need it for that price. The stuffs going on now. I'll post a photo later.

as promised, here's the car with the new muffler and tip. Drove around lots, really love the sound. No drone on the highway. I'll try doing a vid sometime.

Thanks a ton for the help guys. It really aided my decision.
