deathsythe makes a good point, take the upper timing cover off and make sure the timing belt is turning...

Check your fuses as well. I had two fuses blow under the dash a couple months ago. The car would crank all day and wouldn't catch just like yours. Replaced the fuses and everything worked great.

if it cranks but doesn't start, you want to check timing belt, and fuses before you continue cranking....also some sensors will not allow the car to start if they have failed or are unplugged...i believe it's the cam angle sensor i unplugged when i installed my turbo, to pump oil through everything before starting the motor...

Thanks for the help, im going to try and figure out which one it is, hopefully its something small like the fuses. Also, when all this happened i had my battery tested and they said i had a full charge but a cell was burnt. Would that have anything to do with all this also?

if the starter motor engages the flywheel and cranks the motor, the starter and battery are fine. seems your timing belt is stripped or broken, stop cranking the motor. you're sure the starter is engaging the flywheel?

Timing belt should be fine as long as you replace it on time, do it correctly, use a quality belt, and replace the tensioners as well. I did mine every 60k on the button, with OEM belts and new OEM tensioners every time. Never had a problem until Smike somehow managed to break the serpentine belt
