engine codes wont go away
What does that mean? Essentially the same as P0137, a P0136 code refers to the second oxygen sensor on Bank 1. The O2 oxygen sensor produces a voltage between .1 mV and .9 mV. The ECM monitors O2 sensor voltage and determines if exhaust is lean or rich. O2 sensor voltage is high when exhaust is rich and low when exhaust is lean. The ECM monitors this voltage and increases or decreases fuel injector pulsewidth according to engine fuel/air ratio. If the ECM detects low HO2Sensor voltage for an extended period, it will set P0136 Conditions required to set: HO2 sensor voltage is low for longer than 2 minutes (minutes depend on model of vehicle. Could be up to 4 minutes) Symptoms There may be no visible symptoms to the driver. Poor fuel mileage, possible misfire, depending on O2 sensor position when sticking. Causes A code P0136 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: Faulty O2 sensor leak in exhaust close to O2 sensor Short to voltage on O2 signal circuit Open in circuit resistance caused by corrosion in connector Possible Solutions Replace the second oxygen sensor on bank 1 Repair open or short in signal circuit Clean corrosion from connector

Also check your gas cap to see if the seal is good, I have seen that stupid thing cause more freaking issues that you would think. Depending on the make of the vehicle it could be an issue, chances are it is one of the above.

It was the o2 sensor I changed it out today and everything is working well again and no more engine lights
Thank you very much for the help

if you're talking about a tactrix cable/bluetooth dongle, then go here:
https://www.tactrix.com/
if you want an OBDII cable/bluetooth dongle, then you can search for that on eBay.
i got one for $12~ but it failed and they offered to refund me the full amount that i paid if i ship it back to them.
problem with that is it will cost me around $10+tax to ship it back as i opened the package already and they didn't say anything about refunding the shipping fees

hope this helps bro!
and...WELCOME TO EVOM
it's not your insight that's unwelcome, it's your attitude...every time someone doesn't take what you say as gospel, you get all pissy...this is a forum, it's for discussion. people are more than welcome to disagree with you, even if they are wrong (or you merely believe they are wrong). If you know you are right, you can offer theory or evidence as to why you are correct, and if the person you're trying to help doesn't take your advice, leave it at that instead of coming back with douchy comments like the one i'm quoting. Engaging in a civilized discussion or debate is obviously reserved for the mature, if you don't like it, GTFO.
amen to that brother!
btw are we still on for this weekend?
or do you already have plans?
just let me know

thanks again man!
@xmaster:
i didn't mean to make you think that your advice is not welcome.
i'm just curious about your method of resolving this issue.
if you look closely at my post, i even said "THANKS FOR THE ADVICE".
i respect you as you seem to have a lot of knowledge regarding our beloved RAs.
you just have to learn how to portray that knowledge in a positive way.
bashing me for "questioning" your theory doesn't make sense as i'm investigating this matter as well.
look at nekkidlad, i had a lot of questions regarding his explanation and he just cleared it up by going into more detail and i understood it, crystal clear
but again, thank YOU for taking the time to help us out to the best of your ability.

hackish is busy this week, and as the weather improves it will become less likely that he will be available on weekends, as many of you know he's an avid sky diver. So it may come down to taking time off work to go see him on a weekday...as of right now, my starter went in the RA, so i have zero cars...i'm waiting on a new starter for the RA, and a clutch kit for the ES, on top of that my fan controller died, and my rear tranny mount is toast, not a nice way to come home...$650 later

i have a brand new extra starter for my RA sitting in my garage if you'd like to buy it...
unfortunately it'd be like doubly expensive as just getting one frm the store or online because of shipping from us to ca...lol
if u didnt buy one yet, don't get one from autopartswarehouse.com...they're cheap but continuously fail ~6 months after install...
i'm on my 3rd from them...(and the 4th is in the garage...lol)...been about a year or so since the last one i installed...and once ina blue moon it wants to not start, wich is how the other ones started showing signs of failing(xept it only took about a week or 2 before total inoperation)...*knock on wood*
they keep dying or the solenoid falls off...
luckily it's super easy to replace the starter on theese cars...

You just got home and your RA and ES give you trouble.
Damn bro I'm sorry to hear that.
Well about the Ottawa trip, we can always just meet up sometime when everyone's free.
Just txt me and I'll let you know if I can take the day off.
Btw do you mind helping me out with the "big intake mod" DIY?

I'm trying to scavenge for the parts needed.
Hope everything goes smoothly with your RA and ES.
Maybe when the parts come in, I can come by and help you out with the clutch install and starter install.
I'm sure I'll learn a lot too lol.
Take care bro!
i'm sure if i got home and both my cars were down i dont know what i'd do...(well...besides fix them..lol)
i do have a motorcycle to get around on tho but rt now it's just too cold...altho i can use it in a pinch, it just wont be comfortable...
