Talking Problem Solved!

So my guess at the problem was correct, Someone put a screw in the top of the fuel pressure regulator, changed it today, and it runs like a brand new ralliart! Car is Fixed! Someone should have told the guy that owned the car before me that it isn't a 1980 honda!

In some older model cars you can put a screw in the FPR to open the diaphragm in order to let more fuel in, and well in our cars it stops the fuel from returning to the tank, makes the pump work harder and leans the car out to a point where it is dangerous to the motor, I am about to upload a pic of the way I found it! Our cars do not have a vacuum line attachment, and that is an old trick to make it bypass the regulator, and give it free flow. Glad I found it, my issues could have been way worse!

Where did you find that? The 4g69 is a returnless system. There isnt a fuel return line. I've been thinking about this since I saw your post earlier, so o waited to say anything until I popped my hood to check myself. Now my evo and 3g eclipse rails have a FPR on the return side. But that shouldn't be there from the factory on the RA.

The Fuel Pressure Regulator is in the tank.... It is in the same housing as the fuel pump. the bottom end of the regulator drains back into the tank if there is too much pressure. Some wanna be high school mechanic probably did this thinking it had a diaphragm, but it doesn't and it cause s pressure build up and lean condition.... I will find a diagram to show you where it is located....
