4g69 compatibility to other 4g6*
Hey this is my first time ever posting on here, but you guys all have helped me with a lot just by read your posts. But I'm curious, to know what parts are compatible. I currently have a 04 ralliart lancer with the 4g69 engine. I've herd around of a few people who have used a 4g69 block and used everything else an evolutions 4g63t. Just to get that .4 differences in the motor. If that's true, I'm wanting to build a custom motor from the ground up using the best of all world's, but idk how to find the compatibility of all the 4g6*. If you know more please let me know. Cause I'm also wanting to trany swap. So if there's any 5 or 6 speed trannys compatible please let me know as well thank you!(:

There are a lot of parts that are compatible and a lot of parts that arent. To make a list would be ridiculously long. What are you trying to accomplish? What are you wanting to do?
As for the Trannys there are several that work. The evo 8/9 tranny, the Eclipse 3g/4g tranny, the 04-06 Outlander tranny... again what are you trying to achieve?

idk yet I'm thinking of buying and engine and building it from the ground up and run my 4g69 till it blow and then swap them out. But I was hoping to use a 4g69 block, Evo head, and use Evo trannys. The only reason I want to use the 4g69 block is for that extra .4... but yeah. That's kinda my plan and I was just trying to get info on the compatibility.

I am currently putting a 4g69 in my Evo. Most everything is very compatible. Except for the way that the Ralliart and the Evo do mivec. They are two different methods. The RA is an on/off style switch that causes the intake valves to open more. While the Evo uses a variable cam that actually alters the angle of the cam. So the RA's ECU and harness will not control this. You will want to switch to an Evo harness and ECU. Or go stand alone.
Everything you mention sounds good. But why would you want to use an Evo tranny? Are you planning to go AWD?
