Went to the junkyard the other day to grab some parts for my 2005 ralliart. Came across a 2007 eclipse gt. Knowing that the throttle body off of it was an upgrade, I snagged it quick and returned home to install.

When I went to install, I quickly figured out that the ralliart throttle body is actually drive by wire and the one I got is drive by cable. Everyone is saying that the 2006 and up eclipse throttle body fits the 2004-2006 ralliart, so what did i get? I know it was out of an eclipse gt with the v6. Also, Since I don't have the right one, what should I be looking for.

I have no idea what TB that is... Never seen one quite like that.

What you are looking for looks almost identical to the one that is currently on your ralliart. Here are some pics for reference. The big difference here is the diameter of the butterfly valve. In the second pic you will see the quarter sitting on the blade of each. Look at the gap above the quarter on each.

 

You actually came across a Tiburon GT (V6) not an Eclipse GT (also V6). That is a Hyundai throttle body. Common across V6 models found in the Tiburon, Sonata, Santa-Fe, etc. That throttle body screams Hyundai when I look at it. I am a Hyundai enthusiast more or less than I want to admit, but I've been around them for a while.
