Question N2o

I wonder how large a shot of nitrous you can put an a semi stock mivec (bpu's). I am currently putting a 75 shot of wet nitrous on mine, lets see how it holds up! Any comments?

I'd presume a 100 shot...anything more then that and I'd start getting nervous.

a 100 shot is alot , i'd see how the 75 works... an example, Type R's use 125 and thats said to be a really large amount for that motor...

The density of your nitrous used is going to vary dependant on the type of setup you are planning on running. (ex. wet, dry, direct port)

1.A 75 shot wet SHOULD be OK on the Ralliart in stock trim.

2.A 50-60 shot is as high as I would go on a dry kit

3.A 100 shot direct post SHOULD be fine as well.

If you dont know how Nitrous works it is pretty simple. You have a sprayer in the intake in both the wet and dry systems. They work, but when you spay into the intake the nitrous isnt dispursed evenly from cylinder to cylinder. (meaning cylinder 1 might get 50% of the N20 while another cylinder might get 10%.

That puts a LOT of stress on one piston. Direct port sprays directly through the injector spreading the N2O evenly throughout the motor. Making it the most efficient, most powerful, and the safest.

Good Luck

nitrous causes a much bigger combustion to happen, which is why you have to be careful if you are not replacing pistons and such. i have always been scared to run n2o myself, il stick with just turbo when i come around to it.

Nitrous oxide is an oxidizer. When you mix it with gas, the mixture is a lot more combustable than regular air. That's how it works in a nutshell.

you can do it safly with a 100+2 on fuel...
i dont know if you can have the jets made custom but try to make the shot as rich as posible +2 meaning 2 times the fuel enjoy and call me in the morning..lol

At a 100 shot I'd really think about investing in a fuel pressure guage and maybe an upgraded fuel pump just to be on the safe side. You also might want to change spark plugs too ;-) Either way I'd try it before you put the good clutch in! Why fry a perfectly good clutch when a stocker is allready in there?
