Well in this case, you pour thousands and thousands of dollars into a rpm-***** Honda motor, strap some big fatty drag meats on the front of the car, drop the hammer, and pray to the horsepower gods it all holds together.

Simply put you don't... by the time you got an RA to run a 10 second quarter mile it wouldn't really be an RA anymore.

Just slap about 50 "Type R" stickers on it, that should give it like, oh, 1662hp or so, considering each sticker is worth a 30hp increase, x50 is 1500, on top of the original 162. You'd smoke anything on the street no problem!

you start by selling your house. then trade the RA in as a downpayment on a viper. then about 8k miles later, the thing stops running, so you can just live out of the trunk. wait a min....nm

Yeah, domestics generally do suck (I know, I drive one) but the Viper is actually an exception. My old man has a buddy with one, and this guy just BEATS on that car... if it were a 'vette or a 'stang it woulda died a long time ago this thing just keeps on tickin though. Regardless, this is why I want to ditch my peon and get an RA. I'm still holding off for a bit though to see what you guys can get out of these things, they sure look like a good prospect though.

If I were you, I would take out all the dictionaries that you have in your trunk. They are adding extra weight to your vehicle, slowing it down, judging by your post, you don't seem to be using them.

I'm most likely going to get an RA, but there is a more "official" reason I haven't yet: I'm flat broke since I've moved into a new place and I need to replinish my savings first. Call me crazy, but I think having a couple grand for a saftey net isn't such a bad idea before getting a new ride.

As a previous owner of a 1995 Dodge Neon, all I can say is BUY THE RALLIART. After driving the RA for several months, I got to drive my old car, you will quickly realize how much of a piece of crap the Neon really is if you were to do the same.

Yes, I am quite aware of the craptastic-ness of my car, and I've never said anything to the contrary. Even the SRT-4 is a rolling problem bed, which is why I don't want one regardless of the near-evo power levels they are making. My point here is just that I don't wanna get into a new car right this minute, since if - god forbid -I lose my job or something I'd be up a creek. I do like the RA though and it's at the top of my list currently, I just don't wanna test drive one yet so the blood-sucking dealer can talk me into making a poor financial decision.

Somehow, I don't think English is his first language.
