Quote: So is it really worth getting it and paying more at the pump

This mod still intrests me a lot so any oppinions you have on it would help.
Do you plan on hitting the dyno soon?
I can go to Costco for gas and pay a penny less for 91 octane then I pay for 88 octane at Conaco or phillips 66. It's great if you have a costco in your area and you already have a costco membership.

Solder is the BEST solution, but you DON"T have to do it. I was wondering about getting some connecters that I can plug and unplug for warranty purposes. I can solder the junctions onto the ECU harness and then place plugs (male/female style) on the ends of the piggy and ecu harness. Anybody else think this is a good idea?

That's a great idea, I might just have to use it, assuming I ever get a piggy...

its almost done, I have all the connectors shrink wrapped and soldered onto the PIGGY, Tomorrow I will splice 4 wires on my ECU harness and install and enjoy. I will also install my ss. clutch line and also Fill my front motor mount and all exhaust hangers with poly. Gonna be a great day.

I talked to the mechanics at my dealership and they said that this mod would immediately void the warranty. Anybody else know the deal on this?

From what I read, the ECU will only void warranties that can be directly related to be the ECU causing the problem.

Question, I want to put a piggyback in my car - but voiding the warranty doesn't sound that great of an idea to me. Do people just not care about the warranty and have no problems dropping however much money to fix the car should it break?

This is the reason I made quick connectors so that I can take the ECU out when I go in for servicing. It's seriously worth the gains and my dealer is really cool and would back to what ever extent they could. They have a speed shop and do stuff like this for their clients. THey would shaft me if it would cost them money though.
