i'm pretty sure they are 'plastic' or whatever the rest of the body is made of. the idea of skirts is usually to protect the body in a way that they can be cheaply replaced. IE: you are going down a highway and a bunch of crap falls out of a truck and u run over it. will tear ur skirts up but not the body. So, conceptually, they should be kept pretty cheap. next time you wash th car, just feel them. they are pretty flimsy.

The only metal side skirts I ever see are the ones from Lowe's...those aluminum siding pieces held on with zip ties or duct tape on some kid's '89 Accord Sedan with steelies. God I love West Chicago.

Why? Someone else may have the same question as you and if they do a search they will find this wonderful info.

hahaha! Welcome to my world....

Where you can drive a Dodge Neon on 14" Steelies with a DTM muffler and a massive aluminum wing, and still get respect. It's like a whole 'nother planet, friends.

I used a magnet to find out what is plastic, and what is metal. I got lucky. The chip I have is on a plastic panel.

Isn't it the truth... Chicago is crazy like that... I live on Cicero Ave. a very busy street... sometimes I just look out my front window & laugh at all the cars I see/hear passing by...
