yeah, if you look at just about any dodge/chrysler product from the mid to late 90's (especially here in arizona) the paint just starts flaking off and fading like there's no tomorrow. i'd say it's even worse quiality than this mitsu paint.

I had a 94 Duster that just blew up on me earlier this year. Paint was coming off all over that thing. But I can't talk too much trash on it cuz it lasted over 200,000 miles. Plus, that car blowing up lead to me getting my RA.

My dealear offered me paint protection, I didn't take it. I wonder if this was just a 'real' coat of clear coat? I noticed the paint chips very easily, I have a couple rock chips already. Not to mentioned swirl marks the dealer added at no extra cost!

I have to clean and rewax the RA before it gets too cold

I washed & waxed mine before it started getting too cold & we got rain 2 days later...

Swirl marks on the Thunder Gray are nuts!!! I've just learned to embrace them... because they're there & there's going to be nothing I can do about it!!!

I had chips on the hood, I guess it is getting replaced though
There's also a chip on the passenger rear view mirror. HOW WOULD THAT HAPPEN? This paint is 5 months old, seriously! And I got black lol, the swirl marks aren't there yet (haven't tried waxing it) but there was glue residue from the protective plastic and when i tried to rub this glue off (with a WET, CLEAN sponge) it left little scratches/scuffs where I rubbed.

How did you get rid of the chips? Did your dealer touch em up?

BTW, before you wax your car again, use a clay bar and then a pre-wax cleanser. If that doesn't work then a fine polish should do the job. Link. That should take care of the swirl marks.

I too have a blk RA and want to keep it in show car like condition.

Just wax it good, and give it time. It will go away eventually.
