I deleted the cat converter from the exhaust and it sounds awfull. I have a Magnaflow axl back and the exh is very raspy sounding. Not worth the gain in HP. Some people like it but I dont. I was used to the great sound of the 2zzge engine from the Celica and thought the mivec engine will sound as good but for my surprize it sounds like a farting civic DX or old mitsubishi Colt. Definately for me is not worth it unless you put a big resonator which = more back preassure and weight.

the sound kinda suprised me, I am getting used to it but it does not sound good with stock exhaust, The pipe just sounds like its way too small and it starts shaking really bad when I floor it. I will just have to wait for my axle back.

Why is the pipe shaking? I mean I highly doubt it is supposed to be like that.

Mine did the same thing before I installed the axel back. I think what happens actually is that the exhaust tip resonates real bad and it sounds like someone is farting in a giant coffee can!!!

Has any one else had the check engine light from the down pipe? If so how long until it turned off I hate seeing a service engine light on my brand new car with 1500 miles

My CEL light is on from my downpipe/ECU. I'm going to reset the ECU Monday and see what happens. I'll let you know. This too bothers me, especially at night!!!

I got my exhaust from RRM and bolted it on today, everything sounds so much better. its still lound but it does not have that annoying tone, and it only took 30 min to install.

$99 for a resonator? I got the same magnaflow + install for $35. Your local shop ripped you. Even on my old 03' Eclipse they cut out my cat, gutted the manifold cat, and installed the same resonator for $120. Sry man. Local shops can do that though...There's another shop in my town that does that kind of crap. But here...only the "rich mom and dad bought my ride and modded it" kids go there. It happens.

Well, they are known for doing exhaust work on muscle cars and track cars. I've been going here for years and know I pay a little more, but their work is always top notch. Besides the two girls behind the counter are hot!
