i think you just hook the red wire to constant power and ground the black.

check your link so we can see pictures. i think i have purchased those in the past and actually from the same guy. good smooth tranaction. great little LED's. they're bright as hell.

you need two things, 12 volt + constant, and you can hook up the negative to alarm wire -Ground when Armed) or if no alarm, hook up to ignition wire; Ignition wire is hot when car is on and is ground when you turn ignition off. That way, the led's are only on when car is off.

I just hooked up LED's on my car. I wired them to a switch that I installed on the left side of the steering wheel next to the dashboard light switch (empty slot). I hooked the power up to the interior fuse box. I used the ignition fuse (always hot), but you could use the cigarette lighter fuse if you only want the lights to come on when the car is turned on. Since I have a switch I like being able to turn them on and off at anytime.

If you didn't already buy those LED's I'd recommend the ones I got from SUmmit Racing. Soon as I find a link to them on their web site I'll post it. I live right up the road from Summit so I don't have to order them online.

oops my bad, i thought you meant the alarm scanner, for those, the best thing to do is look for an ignition power source. LED's don't draw much current but if you are really looking to go proffesional, hook up to fuse box.

Here is the link to the manufacturer of the LED's I bought. Summit Racing sells them but they don't have any pictures. The price is still the same. Like I said. They are really bright and look real good. Soon as I get my computer back up I'll post some pictures of my car.

There is a diagram in your manual for both the interior and under hood fuse boxes. To answer your question from your pm, the cigarette lighter is one that is not hot when the car is off. I have a couple of pics of my installed lights in my profile. They arent the best because all I had was a camera phone. As far as tips go, do whatever you like. It's your car. I personally like subtle touches. I don't like riding down the street with my car screaming, "look at me."

just get one of those "add a fuse" taps and put it in your fuse box.. it will be better than splicing any wiring
