I've also noticed the speedometer is way out compared to GPS, so it could have something to do with the speedometer being further out then when it was new.

50km/h=50km/h
80km/h=74km/h
120km/h=112km/h

Speedometers do lose accuracy when the tires get worn. That seems pretty excessive though. I would say 5KPH at 110KPH off would be acceptable.

I know nothing about GPS, but could the problem be that the GPS has trouble tracking at higher rates of speeds?
Again, total noob here on GPS systems.

Hi i'm newbie here, I own a 2005 ralliart, When I had buy the car, salesman says that the performance will increase with time, when I hit 5000 and 10 000 km, ths car supposed take more power...
I'm a newbie too with my 2005 RA....and I just reached the 4th digit on the odometer and the engine seems to have a better response time when I hit the gas pedal...

Also, I did 40 kms more from the 1st to the 2nd tank....I checked that 'cause I changed my 2000 GTI 1.8T especially for the fuel consumption which was way too expensive to run (even with octane 94 @ 1.02$ CAD per liter...) When you drive 350 kms/week to go to work only, it makes a huge difference per year....

Salut loctfrank for the performance, maybe it's increased but it's too tinny to realise it.
P.S. a other guy from Québec, on commence à être beaucoup.
Hey, salut les boys....moi aussi je viens du Québec. Vous venez de où exactement...? Depuis quand vous avez votre Mitsu...???

If you look at Car&Driver magazine on their one year test on their cars. You'll see some cars, not all of them, perfomed better ( 0-60 , 1/4, top speed increases, braked shorter ect.... ) after one year than when it was new. Mileage varies on their tests.

It's a common fact that cars get better with some break-in. There are dyno tests on the net to confirm this.
